CheckFlow connects to other tools in several ways. The Zapier app links it to thousands of apps without code. Slack carries the same notifications as email. Webhooks push nine kinds of event to your own systems, REST API v3 covers checklists, tasks, templates, Data Sets and schedules, and the MCP server lets AI assistants work in your workspace. Enterprise adds single sign-on and your own email domain.
Processes that start, and report, where the work happens.
Start checklists from other apps
A closed deal, a submitted form or a new hire in another system can start the right checklist automatically.
Notifications where people look
Assignments, overdue alerts, mentions and your own rules arrive in Slack, by email, or both.
Your systems stay in step
Webhooks and the API keep a CRM, HR system or data warehouse up to date without anyone copying data across.

No code
Zapier: thousands of apps, no code
The CheckFlow Zapier app has three triggers, one search and two actions. Trigger a Zap when a checklist is created, a task is completed or a file is uploaded. Find a checklist. Create a checklist or share one. Pair them with any of the thousands of apps on Zapier, such as Google Sheets, Gmail, Salesforce, Calendly, Airtable or Trello.
An Administrator creates an API key named for Zapier on the API & Integrations tab, and you paste it into Zapier the first time you connect. A typical Zap: when a client onboarding checklist is created, share it, then email the client the link from Gmail.
- Triggers: New Checklist, Task Completed, File Uploaded
- Search: Find Checklist · Actions: Create Checklist, Share Checklist
- Zaps you build appear on the Webhooks tab with their delivery history
Slack
Slack notifications, chosen by each person
An Administrator adds the CheckFlow for Slack app once, from the API & Integrations tab, and it is available to the whole Slack workspace. CheckFlow matches people by email address, so anyone whose address is in Slack can receive notifications there.
Each person then chooses Email, Slack, both or neither for each type of notification in their communication preferences: a task assigned to them, a task of theirs running overdue, an @mention, a new comment on their task, and the custom notification rules in your templates, such as a task due in a day or a checklist completed. Administrators can set preferences for anyone in the team.
- The app needs only basic permissions to post messages
- Removing the app keeps everyone’s Slack settings for later
- Custom notification rules can also go to any email address
Webhooks
Webhooks: events pushed to your own systems
Subscribe a URL to an event and CheckFlow sends it a JSON POST when the event happens, so your systems never have to poll. There are nine events: a checklist started or completed, a task completed or assigned, a comment added, a file uploaded, and a Data Set record added, changed or deleted. Most can be narrowed to one template, one task or one upload field.
Administrators add webhooks on the Webhooks tab of Team Management, or in code through API v3. Each delivery is signed with a secret you check against the CF-Signature header. A failed delivery is tried again, five attempts in all over a few hours, and every delivery is kept for 30 days, where you can inspect it and replay it.
- Addresses must be public https endpoints
- Webhooks made through the API, the app and Zapier all show on one tab
- If Zapier already reaches the service, use Zapier and skip the hosting
For developers
REST API v3 and the MCP server
Both use the same API keys, created by an Administrator. Each key acts as one member of the workspace, or as the workspace itself, and sees only what that member can see.
REST API v3
Run checklists and complete tasks, raise standalone tasks, read the Tasks Grid, build and version templates, and manage Data Sets, schedules and webhooks. JSON, cursor pagination, idempotency keys for safe retries, and an OpenAPI document with a Swagger UI.
Swagger UIMCP server for AI assistants
147 tools that let Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Copilot or any other AI assistant start checklists, work tasks, build templates and update Data Sets in plain language. The docs include setup guides for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code.

Existing integrations, including the Zapier app, keep working. When you are ready, the migration guide maps every legacy endpoint to its v3 equivalent.

AutomationsEmbed a web page in a task
The Embed control shows any https page or web app inside a task, such as a booking system or a form hosted elsewhere, as long as the site allows framing.
Video from where it lives
The Video control plays training videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, AWS or Google Drive, or a file you upload.
Email from your own domain
On Enterprise ($18 per user per month ($16.20 billed annually) with a minimum of 5 users), verify your domain and emails sent by Mail-To controls come from an address such as notifications@yourcompany.com.
Single sign-on
Enterprise teams sign in through Azure AD, Google Workspace, Okta, Microsoft ADFS or another SAML provider, with accounts created on first sign-in.
SecurityCSV in and out
Import a spreadsheet into a Data Set, export it again, and export reports and analytics to CSV or Excel.

Developer overview
Tell our HR system whenever an Employee Onboarding checklist starts. Post it to https://hr.yourcompany.com/hooks/checkflow.
event: "new_checklist" template: "Employee Onboarding" url: "https://hr.yourcompany.com/hooks/checkflow"
Done. Every new Employee Onboarding checklist will be posted to your HR endpoint. Signing secrets are never passed through this conversation, so an Administrator should create one on the Webhooks tab and copy it into your HR system.

Integration questions
What integrations does CheckFlow have?
A Zapier app that connects to thousands of other apps, Slack notifications, webhooks for nine kinds of event, REST API v3 (with the legacy v1 and v2 API still working), and an MCP server for AI assistants. Inside checklists, the Embed and Video controls bring other web pages and videos into a task. Enterprise adds single sign-on and a custom email sender domain.
Can I connect CheckFlow to other apps without writing code?
Yes, through Zapier. The CheckFlow app can start a Zap when a checklist is created, a task is completed or a file is uploaded, find a checklist, and create or share a checklist when something happens in another app. You need an API key from an Administrator and a Zapier account.
How do Slack notifications work?
An Administrator adds the CheckFlow for Slack app to your Slack workspace once. Each person then picks Email, Slack, both or neither for each notification type: assignments, overdue tasks, @mentions, new comments and your templates’ custom notification rules. CheckFlow matches people to Slack by email address.
What webhook events are there?
Nine: new_checklist, checklist_completed, task_completed, task_assigned, comment_created, file_uploaded, and data_set.record.created, updated and deleted. Deliveries are signed, tried again if they fail (five attempts in all over a few hours), kept for 30 days and can be replayed. The three Data Set events always cover the whole team; the others can be narrowed to a template, task or upload field.
Is there a REST API?
Yes. REST API v3 covers checklists, checklist tasks and their fields, standalone tasks, the Tasks Grid, templates and drafts, Data Sets, schedules and webhooks, with an OpenAPI document and a Swagger UI. Keys are created by an Administrator and each acts as a member or as the workspace. See the developer overview.
Which AI assistants work with CheckFlow?
Any AI assistant that can connect to an MCP server, including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and Copilot. Connect it with an API key and it can start checklists, work tasks, build templates and update Data Sets. The docs include step-by-step setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code. Read the MCP guide.
Does CheckFlow support single sign-on?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan ($18 per user per month ($16.20 billed annually) with a minimum of 5 users). Supported identity providers include Azure AD, Google Workspace, Okta, Microsoft ADFS and other SAML providers. New accounts are created the first time someone signs in. See security or contact us to set it up.
Which plans include integrations?
Zapier, Slack notifications, webhooks, the REST API and the MCP server are included in the Business plan at $10 per user per month, or $9 billed annually, and in the 14-day free trial. Single sign-on and a custom sender domain for emails are Enterprise features. See pricing.
