The ChatGPT checklist integration signed in as you.
Add CheckFlow to ChatGPT and ask in plain language: what is overdue, start the onboarding for Sam, turn this procedure into a template. ChatGPT does the work in CheckFlow with your permissions, and every change is recorded against you.

ChatGPT connects to CheckFlow through the CheckFlow MCP server. On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu, an admin adds CheckFlow in Plugins as a custom MCP server that signs in with OAuth, and ChatGPT then works as the person who signed in. It can read your Tasks Grid, start checklists, fill in fields, complete tasks and build templates. Custom MCP servers are added on ChatGPT on the web.
Ask ChatGPT, and the work happens in CheckFlow.
No switching tabs
Check what is due, start a checklist or note an answer from the conversation you are already having with ChatGPT.
Procedures become templates
Paste a written procedure and ChatGPT builds a CheckFlow template from it, checked against CheckFlow’s own rules before it is saved.
Still accountable
ChatGPT sees only what you can see, is refused wherever you would be, and its changes are recorded in your name.

Which ChatGPT can connect
ChatGPT connects to CheckFlow by signing in with a CheckFlow account (OAuth), so there is no key to store. What you can do depends on your ChatGPT plan.
| ChatGPT | Connects? | How |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT Business | Yes | An admin or owner adds a custom MCP server in Plugins, with OAuth, and publishes it for the workspace |
| ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu | Yes | Admins and owners, and members an admin authorises through role-based access, add it; admins and owners publish it |
| ChatGPT Pro | Reads only | Custom MCP servers have read and fetch permissions only, so ChatGPT can look things up but not change them |
| ChatGPT mobile apps | Not for adding it | Custom MCP servers are added on ChatGPT on the web |
| OpenAI API, Agents SDK and Codex | Yes, with a key | Their MCP settings take request headers, so send an X-API-KEY header |
CheckFlow is not in ChatGPT’s plugin directory, so you add it as a custom MCP server. OpenAI’s article on custom MCP servers names no other ChatGPT plans.
Set up
Add CheckFlow to ChatGPT
- 01
Add a custom MCP server
In ChatGPT on the web, go to Plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server. Name it CheckFlow.
- 02
Enter the address
Under Connection, enter
https://api.checkflow.io/mcp, orhttps://api-eu.checkflow.io/mcpif your workspace is in the EU. Choose OAuth for authentication: ChatGPT finds CheckFlow’s sign-in page on its own. - 03
Sign in and allow
Review OpenAI’s risk warning and select Create as a plugin. When CheckFlow opens, sign in the way you normally do, check what ChatGPT will be able to do, and click Allow. ChatGPT then lists the CheckFlow tools it found.
- 04
Ask a first question
Start a conversation, type @ and choose CheckFlow. Ask “Which CheckFlow workspace are you connected to?” and ChatGPT answers from
get_workspace_info. An admin or owner publishes it for the rest of the workspace.
In CheckFlow, Administrators and Members with the AI.Assistant permission can connect an assistant; new Members have it. Guests can’t. If you belong to more than one CheckFlow workspace, switch to the right one before you sign in.
What it can do
What ChatGPT can do in CheckFlow
The MCP server has 147 tools in eight families. These are a few, with the real tool names ChatGPT calls.
Your work
“What’s overdue for me?” ChatGPT reads your Tasks Grid with
list_my_work, filtered to overdue tasks.Start checklists
“Start an Invoice Review for INV-2041, due Friday.”
create_checklistruns the template with its parameters filled in.Complete tasks
“Mark the bank details check done and note the IBAN was verified by phone.”
set_task_fields,add_task_commentandcomplete_task.Find what’s stuck
“Which supplier onboardings have stalled?”
search_checklistsandget_checklist_activityshow where each one stopped.Turn a procedure into a template
“Turn this procedure into a template.” ChatGPT reads
get_authoring_guide, checks its draft withvalidate_templateand saves it withcreate_template.Set up schedules
“Start the weekly stock check every Monday at 9am.”
create_schedulecreates the recurring run.
Every tool tells ChatGPT whether it only reads, changes something or deletes something. For write actions, ChatGPT may ask you to confirm first, depending on the app’s permissions and the action. The full list is in the MCP server docs.
Honestly
What ChatGPT can’t do in CheckFlow
- 01
Reach further than you
ChatGPT is refused wherever you would be: a step assigned only to someone else, a task behind an incomplete halt, a template you can’t edit.
- 02
Be an assignee
Tasks are assigned to people and groups. ChatGPT works as the person who signed in, never as a separate user.
- 03
Make changes on ChatGPT Pro
On Pro, custom MCP servers have read and fetch permissions only. Deep research can use them for reading only, on every plan.
- 04
Report on analytics
Cycle times and bottlenecks come from Analytics in the app. The MCP server has no analytics tool.
- 05
Pick up new tools by itself
ChatGPT keeps a snapshot of a server’s tools once an admin approves it. When CheckFlow adds tools, an admin refreshes the list in workspace settings.
The MCP server is included on every plan, starting with Business at $10 per user per month, or $9 billed annually, and in the free trial. ChatGPT runs on your ChatGPT plan, so it uses no CheckFlow AI credits.

ChatGPT questions
Does CheckFlow work with ChatGPT?
Yes, through the CheckFlow MCP server, on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu. An admin adds it in Plugins as a custom MCP server that signs in with OAuth. ChatGPT can then start checklists, complete tasks, fill in fields, build templates and update Data Sets for you.
Which ChatGPT plans can connect CheckFlow?
Business, Enterprise and Edu have full MCP support, including changes. On Business, only admins and owners add and publish custom MCP servers; on Enterprise and Edu, admins can let selected members add them too. Pro can connect custom MCP servers with read and fetch permissions only.
Can I add CheckFlow from the ChatGPT mobile app?
No. OpenAI says custom MCP servers are connected on ChatGPT on the web only.
Is CheckFlow in ChatGPT’s plugin directory?
No. CheckFlow is not listed in ChatGPT’s plugin directory. You add it yourself as a custom MCP server, using the steps on this page and in the connection guide.
What can ChatGPT see in my CheckFlow workspace?
What the person who signed in can see, and nothing more: ChatGPT works as them, in the workspace they were signed in to. Its changes are recorded in their name, and it is refused wherever they would be.
Will ChatGPT ask before changing things?
It may. For write actions, ChatGPT asks for confirmation depending on the app’s permissions and the action. CheckFlow marks 26 tools as destructive, such as deleting a checklist or replacing a Data Set’s records, so read what ChatGPT proposes before you approve.
Does using ChatGPT with CheckFlow use AI credits?
No. ChatGPT runs on your own ChatGPT plan. The MCP server uses no CheckFlow AI credits; its calls count towards your workspace’s hourly API request budget, shared with the REST API.
Why can’t ChatGPT see a new CheckFlow tool?
ChatGPT keeps a snapshot of a server’s tools once an admin approves it. After CheckFlow adds or changes tools, an admin refreshes the tool list from the workspace’s app settings.
